The process exposes the garment to UV light to gradually wash out the dye, producing the kind of softly faded color that usually only develops after a season of real wear. The result reads more authentically aged than chemical wash treatments, with a quieter color palette that pairs naturally with relaxed, finished-piece styling. Worth knowing upfront: each piece fades slightly differently. Sun exposure isn't perfectly uniform across a production run, so you'll see real variation in fade intensity between tees. That's a feature of the process, not a defect, and it's part of what gives sun-faded garments their character.
